Federico Ortica studied at Conservatory of Perugia, specifcally attending percussions classes. He studied electronic music composition with Mr Luigi Ceccarelli and he attended the Institute of Sonology in Den Haag (NL). He participated in some prestigious music Festivals, such as Emufest, Live Performing Meeting, NY Electroacoustic Music Festival, International Computer Music Conference, Dublin Dance Festival, Tipperary Dance Festival, Congreso Internacional de Ciencia y Tecnología Musical, Museo Arte Contemporanea Roma, MUSE Trento, Spazio Musica Cagliari. He is a composer for theatre and dance show with multimedia technologies with group of artistic research “Opera”, he is works with Procreate Project in London for the multimedia and research project. He played at many Festivals with audio/video project P/XL based on improvisation. He composed a sound for IBM, Asian Cup and Delhi commonwealth, Fondazione Giordano. He collaborated with many artist, dancer, video artist, musicians, composers. Currently working on sound sculptures and sound installations.
He won the gold prize at European Design Award 2019, Italian Innovation Award 2019, and Premio dei premi per l’innovazione italiana 2020.
He is a teacher of Electroacoustic Composition at Conservatorio “F.A. Bonporti” di Trento.
